...instead of saying that it was a night to remember, I'd have to say that it was 4 nights to remember. Each night brought to the surface what all had been happening under the hood of each music entity in the Washington Metropolitain area. For some it was a reoccurrence of extreme hotness from the "off-the-wall bangers" that normally bring it. For others, it was a grand display of talent, ranging from lyrical skills and poetry, to singing and musical instrumentation.

The first night to start of the events went very well. The host of the evening was Abena Disroe, the high priestess of poetry who elegantly orchestrated the evening from point to point. At first, there was the open mic set which drew in many artist. One artist came fourth and rendered a poem that wrapped itself well within the confines of hip-hop literature. Another poet came fourth (Ron Allison - in photo below) and rendered a touching poem in his entrancing deep voice which centered itself around love. The first act up for the evening from the actual Cyber Palooza set was Krayola. Unbeknownst to many, Krayola actually entered the stage without a clue as to what his performance would be but in the name of improv, pulled it of seamlessly. In his set, he called fourth Hoo'Kraze of The UnderAchievaz, DaMask and was surprisingly accompanied by fellow musicians that he normally plays with. (Nic - flute, keys Lefty - Percussion and Dejandu - guitar) That set ranged from poetry, rhyme dance hall to straight hip-hop with one of the feature songs, Aahhh!.

Later coming to the stage was Keys of Knowledge who reactivated the vibes with a combination of singing, poetry, and hip-hop. All of which became visual to the audience. Last but definitely not least was Janelia who touch the hearts of many with her beautiful singing accompanied by the entrancing sounds of an acoustic guitar from what she described as her soul mate.
