Krayola
- an MC of many styles, born in the 88 era of hip-hop as a musician at heart
and existentialist at mind joined forces with Hoo'Kraze, a lyrical maniac
who strikes many as an offspring of Webster's unabridged version and a gattling
gun to form what is known as The Paragon. Both MC's originate from their
own perspective powerhouses (Under Achievaz & 13th Floor Productions)
that have been on the scene in the Metropolitain area since the late 80's
and early 90's. Morgan State University became the meeting grounds for these
two in 1992 as they were introduced by common friends. Since then they have
collaborated on countless projects from recording sessions to live performances.
As time progressed on, Krayola and Hoo'Kraze began working together on production
projects where some projects involved Spenzalii of 13th Floor Productions.
After realizing that an alliance of the minds could bring fourth greater events,
the two one night ended a studio session early to sit and brainstorm an idea
where they both could continue their career and enhance other aspects within
theirselves as a musician and a key player in the business of music.
The avenue
chosen to ally forces was that of music production. As well as creating a
team that possessed first hand experience of being both an artist and producer,
the team began to grow through its already existing networks to create a fully
functional unit that could span the life cycle of practically any project
from the point of which it is conceived to the legal matters it undergoes
once completed and ready for the world. Finally, a name was carefully decided
upon. They knew that the name chosen had to be one that reflects setting a
positive images from the stage to the streets. This name would encompass aspects
from the model oustanding performance, the model outstanding composition to
the model outstanding sound. None-the-less, within no time the model perfect
name became The Paragon.
